Product Description Take poker online the fun and easy way! Five years ago, 50 million people were playing poker recreationally or professionally. Now that number is more than 100 million, including a huge influx of young people. Online betting is up nearly four-fold over the past year, with total wagers running over $30 billion. Winning at Internet Poker For Dummies provides the lowdown on the hottest game around, highlighting the best sites and virtual games and showing how to make secure online bets. The book covers setting up an account, securing funds, navigating a basic online poker game, using Internet abbreviations and lingo, observing online poker etiquette, playing popular online poker games such as Texas Hold 'Em and Omaha, devising a winning strategy, and participating in tournaments.

Must Read October 30, 2009 B. Shirley (Central Texas) Winning at Internet Poker for Dummies is a must read primer for those who are new to the game of poker. Easy to read and understand, especially for those who really have no knowledge of the game.

Haven't done anything with book yet. Spend most of my time watching others play on TV. Waiting for free time to commit.
Wish I could give < 1* January 14, 2009 Jonathan Masse (San Francisco, CA USA) Totally agree with the other 1-star rating guy: Explanation of how internet poker is played; NOT how to beat it, nor how to improve your game. Singly not only the worst poker book i have ever bought, but perhaps amaong the worst books ever purchased. I may even go one beyond that: Worst dummies book ever written (and I am a big fan of the series)...

Good for people that know little about playing online. Not much info on playing the game itself.
